Case

Not who we are, but what happened to you

For Helder bij Letselschade we built a website that starts with the visitor's accident: six ways in, nine steps and the stories of clients who have already been through it.

what a client pays: the costs go to the liable party

Helder bij Letselschade in Leusden stands alongside people something has happened to: a road collision, an accident at work, a medical error. Its legal specialists come to people’s homes, hold the other party liable and stay with the case through to the aftercare. What the victim pays themselves is nothing - those costs are recovered from the liable party.

Whoever ends up here is not browsing. They were hit by a car a week ago, they are at home, and they have one question that blocks all the others: can I do anything with this, and what will it cost me? Everything after that - which steps follow, who comes round, how long it takes - only gets read by someone who has had a clear answer to that first question. So that answer has to come first, in plain words, and not be hidden among legal terms and conditions. And it has to be there for someone reading with one hand on a phone.

We have built and maintained the website since 2023. The new site went live in March 2024. After that came a second site for Helder bij Regres and ongoing maintenance. Two sites, two very different readers: on one side someone something has just happened to, on the other the party that comes to collect the bill.

The challenge

The old site mainly told you who Helder was: the firm, the people, the services. But someone who has just had an accident does not read a company profile. They want to know one thing: can I come here with what has happened to me, and what happens then?

On top of that, personal injury is not one kind of story. A construction worker who falls through a floor has a different question from a business owner hit from behind, or a patient whose fracture was missed. One general services page leaves everyone searching; nobody recognises themselves in it.

The site was about Helder, and it needed to be about you

Our approach

Together with Helder we turned the message around: start not with the firm, but with what has happened to the visitor.

  • A full-screen menu that opens with six ways in - accident at work, road accident, injury caused by an animal, personal injury for business owners, medical error and second opinion - each with its own page
  • A nine-step plan, from the accident to the aftercare, so someone can see in advance what is going to happen
  • A call-back widget with a face beside it: you leave your number and Petra calls you back
  • An extensive blog section and a broader keyword base, so that someone searching on their own situation also lands on a page about it
  • An inclusive, accessible design: quiet typography, clear contrasts, and on the phone a fixed call bar along the bottom
The Helder homepage on desktop, with a story about personal injury from a workplace accident
The Helder homepage on mobile, with the story of a client who was injured by a dog
The Helder approach page on mobile, with the we-help-you-further intro and the client rating
The Helder approach on mobile, with the step plan from accident to liability
The Helder homepage on desktop, with the how-can-we-help question and the six types of personal injury below it

The result

The site went live in March 2024. Whoever arrives sees no company presentation but a client: the face of someone who has been through the same thing, with the name of the legal specialist who helped her. The menu does not ask what Helder does, but what has happened to you.

Development has carried on since. In August 2024 a second site followed for Helder bij Regres, the branch that recovers losses on behalf of employers. After that came the work around Letselinzicht, and in 2025 another series of additions to the site itself. Hosting, monitoring and maintenance carry on with us.

Recognition first, a phone number only after that

A site that does not explain how good the firm is, but shows that someone else has already been here - and how it went for them.

Helder bij Letselschade got a site that starts with what has happened to the visitor instead of with the firm: six ways in, a nine-step plan and clients telling the story of their own case.
