Services - Websites
Websites your organisation runs on.
Developed by the same people who build our custom applications, integrations and AI solutions.
You can get a brochure site made anywhere. We build websites that come with real requirements: accessible, multilingual where that is needed, connected to the systems behind them and fast, even when it gets busy. And because software engineers are behind it, our work doesn’t stop at the front end.
- WCAG accessibility, built in from the design onwards
- Multilingualism that sits in the architecture, if you need it
- Integrations with your CRM, planning or backend systems
- Built to the thresholds of the Core Web Vitals, even at peak traffic
The invisible layer
Under every page lies structured data.
Structure, names and labels: that is what a screen reader reads out and what a keyboard user walks through. We build that layer with the same care as the one you see, so every visitor gets to what they came for.

The trade-off
When a website is business-critical

Built by engineers - tested, monitored and maintained.
A website is business-critical when there is revenue or service delivery behind it. When applications, registrations, donations or bookings come in through the site. When visitors need to be able to do something there - fill in a form, start an application, find information they depend on at that moment - and it hits your organisation directly the minute that falters. A website like that has different requirements than an online business card.
That is why we treat a website as what it is: software.
What is at stake
- Downtime is not a cosmetic flaw, but a disruption of your service
- A form that does not work with a screen reader shuts out part of your audience
- A slow page at peak traffic costs you exactly the visitors you built the site for
Which requirements weigh heaviest differs per project. For Schadefonds Geweldsmisdrijven WCAG is a hard requirement. For the funds of Stichting DOEN multilingualism weighs heaviest. At DYT the integration with their own sailing system determines the entire design. What does not differ: we sharpen those requirements at the start. They sit in the foundation, and you lay that once.
What we do
Websites with real requirements.
No brochure sites, but websites that come with real requirements - and the responsibility that goes with them.
Built by engineers
Your site is developed, tested and maintained by software developers, with our own CI/CD and a staging and production pipeline per client. Not a template with a theme laid over it.
Accessible & multilingual
Accessibility and multilingualism affect your information architecture, your URL structure and the work of your editors. That is why with us they are design decisions, not settings.
The bridge to apps and AI
The same people also develop application portals, dashboards, integrations and AI on your own data. Your site can grow with you - no second agency, no handover.
“The planners have gone from firefighting to actually planning. It fits the way we work - not the other way around.”

Michiel van Baak
Co-founder, Taskmaster
“A botanical garden does not sell a product but a visit. That calls for a site where you see straight away what is in bloom, what there is to do and how to buy a ticket - and where our own editors keep the calendar up to date without any technology being needed for it”

Barbara van Amelsfoort
Head of Marketing - Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam
“Our visitors now find their way to the exhibitions and the ticket shop effortlessly. The site has become calm and clear without us losing our dynamic character - and our editors keep everything up to date themselves.”

Issa Shum
sales & marketing manager, H`ART Museum

Accessibility
Accessible (WCAG) from day one
Accessibility is a design decision at the start, not a test at the end. Anyone who has it tested only after the build is buying repair work.
- Semantic structure, a screen reader reads the page as it is meant to be read
- Colours chosen on contrast, not justified after the fact
- Visible focus, so with a keyboard you always know where you are
- Forms with labels, error messages and a correct tab order
For Schadefonds Geweldsmisdrijven we have been doing this for seven years. For government organisations accessibility has been mandatory for longer; since the European Accessibility Act a comparable requirement applies to web shops, online banking, transport and digital publications, among others.

Multilingual and manageable multisites
One foundation, and every language a fully fledged site
Adding a language later is almost always more expensive and messier than taking it along in the design. That is why we set it up as soon as we know it is needed.
- One technical foundation, build once, maintain once
- Its own address per language, its own URLs, its own findability
- One editing environment, learn once, work everywhere
For Stichting DOEN several funds run on one platform, each with its own face.
The standard we hold to
Fast, because it is designed that way
Speed is not an optimisation pass, but a series of design decisions: what you do load, how heavy your images are, and what happens where. We build to the thresholds of the Core Web Vitals and keep watch on them after launch.
- the main image is there (LCP) < 2.5 s
- responds to your first tap (INP) < 200 ms
- nothing shifts under your finger (CLS) < 0.1
Those are the thresholds of the Core Web Vitals, and we hold to them too when a campaign suddenly brings a lot of visitors. Because we keep measuring, we also see it when a new page or an external script goes over them.

After launch
We stick around
Hosting, monitoring, updates, security, reporting and further development sit with one party. One fixed team, one point of contact. How intensive the rhythm is, we agree per website. With an extensive SLA it looks like this:
Every week
A check-up on the health of the site, with a round of updates attached to it
Every month
A report with the performance and accessibility checks.
Every quarter
With our clients on an extensive SLA we sit down every quarter to evaluate and go through the themes for the coming quarter.
We set the service level down in an SLA that fits your website.
From challenge to launch
Live in phases, with a decision point after every step.
With us a website does not go from briefing to delivery in one go. Every phase ends with something you can look at and decide on - and with a budget that is fixed up to that point.
week 1
Reviewing and sharpening
We go through your current site on speed, accessibility and security, and alongside that we set down what the new site has to be able to do. You end up with a prioritised improvement plan and a scope you can steer on.
from week 2
Designing and building in iterations
Structure, accessibility and integrations are settled before anything gets built. After that we deliver in small steps on your own staging environment, so after every part you see working pages instead of a presentation.
ongoing
Launch and maintenance
The site goes live in a controlled way, including redirects, measurement and a final accessibility check. After that we stay on board for hosting, monitoring, updates and further development.
Frequently asked questions
What you want to know before you start.
What does a website at eenvoud cost?
That depends on the requirements, and we sharpen those together first. We prefer to start with a site checkup: in one week you know where your current website stands on performance, accessibility and security, with a prioritised improvement plan. After that we work in small, budget-controlled steps - after every part you decide whether and how we continue. After the first conversation you know where you stand.
Do you also make simple brochure sites?
Generally not as a stand-alone product. For a site that mainly has to tell people who you are, there are agencies that do it faster and more cheaply. Our value lies with websites that come with real requirements: accessibility, multilingualism, integrations and performance. Not sure which category your challenge falls into? We are happy to have that conversation - also when the answer is that you do not need us.
What does WCAG accessibility mean for our site?
WCAG is the international standard for digital accessibility: your site is usable for everyone, including with a screen reader, a keyboard only or a visual impairment. For government bodies that is mandatory, and with the European Accessibility Act it applies to many businesses too. We build accessibility in from the design onwards - that is more thorough and cheaper than repairing it afterwards.
Can you take over our existing website and develop it further?
Yes. We start with a site checkup: we map how the site is put together technically and where the risks and opportunities lie. On that basis we decide together what is sensible - ongoing development on the existing foundations, or renewing it step by step. You are tied to nothing and stay in control yourself.
What about multilingualism?
We set up multilingualism from day one - adding a language afterwards is almost always more expensive and messier. Every language gets a full site: its own URLs, findable in search engines and manageable for your editorial team from one environment. That is how it works for the fund websites of Stichting DOEN, for example.
